Few words about us:
Gamila Muslimah store was created from the love of Allah and to help others increase the
love to our Creator. As a revert to Islam I have fallen in love with hijab after I deeply
understood its purpose. Since that moment, I felt that it is important to spread this love with
other sisters, and help them to easily access the modest clothing which will please Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala.
Our goal is not only the Online Shop, but we make Dua, that we will be able to grow our
business to help sisters in countries where beautiful but still modest clothing is either not
accessible or it’s not affordable for most of our sisters.
We have seen many amazing sisters in Egypt who would love to wear Jilbab, Khimar, Abaya
which is 100% shariah compliant, but they are unable to access it or afford it, often because
of this they struggle to build the connection with hijab, and that makes it easier to become
influenced by western standards which bring temptation to reject Hijab.
That’s one of the reasons why our ultimate goal is to be able to open our own line one day
Insh’Allah and make it easy to access in countries where sisters struggle economically the
most, so they can access modest clothing with a small price or even for free.
Till that time, insh’Allah we want to focus on sales within Europe mainly, so we can make
modest wear not only accessible to sisters in the West but as well keep our prices fair as
Allah has prescribed in Quran:
O you who have believed, do not consume one another’s wealth unjustly but
only [in lawful] business by mutual consent. – Quran 4:29
The most important value is a fear of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, and making a business for
the sake of Allah, no one else.
We hope that Allah allows us to create a beautiful community with our consumers, which will
benefit our sisterhood, and bring us only closer to Allah.

Why is hijab Fard in Islam?
The evidence from the Quran and Sunnah.
We think it’s really important to share with you the beauty of the Quran and Sunnah about
our beautiful obligation- Hijab.
Quran 24:31

وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَـٰرِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَىٰ جُيُوبِهِنَّ ۖ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ أَخَوَٰتِهِنَّ أَوْ نِسَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُهُنَّ أَوِ ٱلتَّـٰبِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُو۟لِى ٱلْإِرْبَةِ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ أَوِ ٱلطِّفْلِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ عَوْرَٰتِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۖ وَلَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِن زِينَتِهِنَّ ۚ وَتُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ٣١

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and not to reveal
their adornments except what normally appears. Let them draw their veils (خُمُرٌ ) over their
chests, and not reveal their ˹hidden˺ adornments except to their husbands, their fathers,
their fathers-in-law, their sons, their stepsons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons or sisters’
sons, their fellow women, those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession, male attendants with no
desire, or children who are still unaware of women’s nakedness. Let them not stomp their
feet, drawing attention to their hidden adornments. Turn to Allah in repentance all together, O
believers, so that you may be successful.
Khumur رٌمُ خُ is plural of khimarرٌ ماَ خِ , is used in 24:31 by Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, and that
is not the only one moment when Allah is obligating us to cover, as we can find this
obligation mentioned as well in
Quran 33:59

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ قُل لِّأَزْوَٰجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَآءِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَـٰبِيبِهِنَّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا ٥٩

O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their cloaks( جَلَابيِْب ) over their bodies. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized ˹as virtuous˺ and not be
harassed. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Jalabib جَلَابيِْب  is the plural of jilbab جِلْبِاب  is used in 33:59 by Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, so
even though we do not have word “hijab” used in Quran, we have even more detailed wordswhich prove our obligation ordered by Allah.
Additionally really important Hadith which is just making that order stronger and easier to
understand for us is:

أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ نِسَاءَ المُهَاجِرَاتِ الأُوَلَ ، لَمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ : وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ شَقَّقْنَ مُرُوطَهُنَّ فَاخْتَمَرْنَ بِهَا

Narrated `Aishah: May Allah bestow His Mercy on the early emigrant women. When Allah
revealed: “… and to draw their veils all over their Juyubihinna (i.e., their bodies, faces, necks
and bosoms)…” (V.24: 31) they tore their Murat (woolen dresses or waist-binding clothes or
aprons etc.) and covered their heads and faces with those torn Muruts.
Sahih al-Bukhari 4758
When we understand that our hijab is to please our Creator, not a creation, that wearing
hijab we are representing our Deen, we are seen as a Muslim, a woman who obeys and
worships Allah. We can then create a better relationship with our hijab, and fully fall in love
with it, because at the end we are wearing Ayah from the Quran, and we are earning our
reward in Jannah insh’Allah by every single second of wearing hijab for the sake of our
Rabb.
Quran 53:40-41
“And that his effort is going to be seenThen he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense”
